What is no win no fee compensation?

The term 'no win no fee' means that your solicitor agrees to represent you on the basis that if for some reason your claim is unsuccessful, you will not have to pay them anything. However, if you win your case, your solicitor will recover their basic legal costs and expenses from the other side*. You will not be expected to pay any upfront fees when entering into this type of agreement. No win no fee agreements are more formally known as conditional fee agreements (CFAs) and are a way to ensure that your legal costs are met when you are claiming compensation for personal injury matters or an accident. CFAs have proven to be a useful means of access to justice for those who cannot afford to fund their claim independently.
